Manon Empowers: Building a Village Clinic in Kyawagonya
Note from Matsiko Johnbosco:
Wondering how a kind act of hands-on volunteerism can transform a society? Check out what Manon, a nurse from Switzerland, is doing to serve the Lwengo District.

Swiss Nurse Manon and her sister Rachel are mobilizing funds from their family and friends to build a village clinic at the Kyawagonya Community Nursery and Primary School.
This contribution falls in line with one of Uganda Empower’s core objectives of improving the health and well-being of vulnerable people residing in the remote and hard-to-reach areas of the Lwengo District.
This contribution has the potential to be so impactful because it would serve those who struggle to access medical services the most.
Once completed, it will provide advanced medical services at a free or subsidized cost.
The poor, the elderly, single mothers, and orphans will all have better access to healthcare.
The village clinic will not only benefit the students and teachers of the Kyawagonya Community Nursery and Primary School, but also those in need from Kyawagonya’s neighboring villages.
