Name: Nakyanzi Rosemary
Gender: Female
Age: Unknown
Additional Information: Counselor Med visited Nakyanzi Rosemary at Lwengo Health Centre IV.
About Nakyanzi Rosemary:
Nakyanzi Rosemary was bedridden in Masaka Regional Referral Hospital for an abdominal ulcer surgical treatment. Because she had no support in the hospital, she lost all hope and decided to go home, unhealed. After being home for 2 days her health worsened, so she called Counselor Med to come visit her. Counselor Med tried to uplift her spirits, but then he noticed that she needed immediate attention, so he called the Lwengo Health Centre IV for an ambulance. They told him that 30,000 Ugandan Shillings was needed to refuel the emergency vehicle. The client was totally out of money and struggled to raise even 40% of the 30,000 Ugandan Shillings. This occurred on a Sunday so the chances of finding another nearby government health facility that would be open was very low. Counselor Med told Nakyanzi Rosemary’s caretaker to bring the Nakyanzi Rosemary to the Lwengo Health Centre IV on Monday, the very next day, but the caretaker still couldn’t afford the transportation to the Health Centre that day either. On Tuesday, sorrowfully, Nakyanzi Rosemary passed. May her soul rest in peace.
